Sin Academy — The New Taiwanese-Language Movement
For the great revival of our island's people, the New Taiwanese-Language Movement begins at once.
Event Overview
Participants choose to play as either an “Instructor” or a “Student.”
After entering, students each draw an “identity card” that gives them an extra secret role.
Students must also try to pass four rounds of Taiwanese-language trials to become a model student.
Fail, and you’re in for a humiliating public punishment.
Character Roles
Each student draws an identity card upon entry.
No one else is allowed to see it.
♟️Instructor (6 people): Automatically assigned to anyone who signs up as an instructor. Acts as judge and lead disciplinarian during the game, and spends the whole event trying to catch out every “degenerate.” Succeed before the event ends, and you win an NT$100 Slime Nest event voucher (valid for a future event only).
♟️Degenerate (2 people): A shameless soul who secretly craves punishment. Must find a way to deliberately lose the game and get themselves punished. After each round, all instructors discuss and vote for the student they suspect is a “degenerate.” If the person voted out really is one, they’re sent into the dog cage and sit out the next round. If no degenerate is caught by the time all rounds are over, they earn the right to be punished by every instructor at once for 3 minutes.
♟️Child of a High Official (2 people): May reveal this identity once to dodge a single punishment. Either way, at the end of the event they get a loving hug and head-pat from the instructors.
♟️Informant (2 people): Knows the identity of every degenerate. After each round, all students discuss and vote for the classmate they suspect is the “informant.” If the person voted out really is one, they’re sent into the dog cage and sit out the next round. If the informant is never caught by the end of the event, and the instructors succeed in their own mission, the informant also earns a hug and head-pat from the instructors.
♟️Ordinary Student: Just an ordinary student. No privileges, no inside information. Try to survive.
Game Rounds
[Round One: Taiwanese Vocabulary Class & Sentence-Making]
Do you know how to say various body parts and toys in Taiwanese?
The vocabulary class teaches 10 words, then it’s a race to be first to make a sentence with each one.
Anyone who didn’t manage to make a single sentence by the end of the round gets punished.
<Punishment — Squat with a Dog Tag, Shame Play>
Students must wear a tag reading “I Refuse to Speak Mandarin” around their neck and do 10 minutes of raised-hand squats.
(If they’re okay with removing clothes, outer layers come off too.)
[Round Two: Taiwanese Listening Test]
Students compete in teams.
Watch an unsubtitled Taiwanese-language video clip and guess the character’s exact line.
Whoever gets it right first is done for the round; whoever’s left at the end is punished.
<Punishment — Reading Smut Aloud in Taiwanese>
The student is handed an erotic passage and has to try to read it aloud in Taiwanese.
[Round Three: Taiwanese Explainer Master]
Students compete in teams.
Given a topic (a product, an event, a piece of media), explain it in Taiwanese well enough for others to understand.
Instructors score each team; the highest-scoring team from each group advances to the “1 vs 1 Challenge” round.
The lowest-scoring team is punished.
<Punishment — Vibrator Copy-Lines>
With a vibrator held against their crotch, the student must write out “I Refuse to Speak Mandarin” a set number of times —
once for each point they scored below the top team. One point short, one extra line.
[Final Battle: Rebel Student 1v1 Instructor Challenge]
The winning student from each team in Round Three may challenge a not-yet-chosen instructor to a duel.
The subject is listening comprehension: hear an audio-only Taiwanese clip, then race to answer a four-choice question.
If the instructor wins, the student is punished. If the student wins, the instructor is punished.
<Punishment — Classic Spanking>
The loser receives 10 spanks.
Hand or implement, loser’s choice.

"Today's Taiwanese-language event at Slime Nest was so much fun — huge respect to Lingyang for putting together such a rich set of questions. She speaks Taiwanese so smoothly normally, but somehow got nervous the moment she had to do it in front of everyone... Sadly I had to leave early for work! Would love to play again next time 😂"

"Marking 228 by not speaking Mandarin feels about right 🫣 Lingyang's whole setup was way too fun, I really got into it 🥳 I'd already heard most of the dirty Taiwanese phrases before, but watching Lingyang teach them dead seriously with flash cards still made me want to hide my face 🫣 Losing round two was way too funny 🤣 Reading my own tweet out loud in Taiwanese in front of everyone — what kind of humiliation play is this 😳, that's not why I wrote it in the first place 😂 Getting punished for losing turned out to be way more fun than expected — honestly it makes you want to become a "degenerate" on purpose 😆 Being grouped with new people, chatting, watching them get punished, playing with the cute sea-creature plushies together — so happy ☺️"

"Your mind keeps leaping through a thrilling, bashful haze, trying to crack the puzzle at the same time~ Excellent hosting, a well-designed program, deeply engaged players — together they made for a truly delightful afternoon."

"Even someone as bad at Taiwanese as me could join without worry — most of the time I just sat behind everyone with my arms crossed, playing the strict drill instructor, quietly applying pressure and handing out rock-bottom scores to widen the gaps and stretch out the punishment time. I also managed to talk a few people into writing their lines extra slowly — turns out everyone really does have the potential to become a "degenerate" 😏 The material for this event mixed retro and modern elements, with all kinds of formats and presentations — you could tell Lingyang put a lot of time into it. Hosting something that has to carry the whole event from start to finish is genuinely hard, but there wasn't a single dull moment, and the rules never got too complicated — welcoming for both Taiwanese veterans and total beginners. What stuck with me most: a friend from Hong Kong reading an erotic passage aloud in crisp, steady Cantonese (like listening to a Hong Kong film narrator), the unlucky soul who had to read out the smut they'd written themselves (lol), a classmate that another instructor and I posed into a humiliating position (a real masterpiece)... ...and someone who lost the round but then asked ME to punish THEM instead — honestly, caught me off guard, but hey, why not ㄟ(; ̄▽ ̄)ㄏ"

"Events in the scene keep getting more varied and more interactive lately. Every time I'm on my way to one, along with the usual filthy anticipation there's now a bit of curiosity about what unfamiliar situation I might run into. Maybe it's because I've learned more about Taiwan's 228 this year, but I couldn't stop noticing how much simply existing takes effort for so many people — as someone who's a minority in more than one way myself, I couldn't help getting a little sentimental... And feeling sentimental about THAT... is honestly way too depraved of me!"

"Went to Slime Nest's New Taiwanese-Language Movement yesterday Learned a whole bunch of Taiwanese I will probably never use again in my life (?) It was a lot of fun, but I'm genuinely bad at Taiwanese — I could only understand a little and could barely speak any, so I racked up the most punishment lines of the whole event: 61 times The shame of being from the south 🤣🤣"

"First, thank you to everyone I met that day I'm super socially anxious so I stayed in a corner playing with the fox plushie I brought and honestly I turned out exactly like the first question said I really am "hiâu" (flirtatiously shy)! Such a closet exhibitionist Later I ended up crawling into the cage on my own Thanks to the friend who helped take photos More thoughts are in the photos Having too many photos to choose from was its own kind of problem Anyway, thank you everyone"
